Who Are We?
With Coastal Food Allergy Support (CoFAS) you can learn about food allergies and meet other people managing special diets and food allergy safety. We host educational meetings, play groups and other events so families in Hampton Roads can connect with one another.
CoFAS is a non-profit organization started in November 2007 by parents working through everyday life with food allergies. Along with our Medical Advisor, Dr. Angela Hogan, we provide educational support to the community and networking for our members; we look for ways to help principals, teachers and nurses prepare for food allergy safety at school. Our group includes families with children of all ages, medical providers, school nurses, teachers, dietitians, and other professionals. We offer an open invitation to anyone interested in receiving or sharing information about living an active life with food allergies. Our group believes that with the right plan and support, children with food allergies can do anything! CoFAS offers opportunities to learn about food allergies and meet other people managing special diets and food allergy safety. Our TeamCoastal Food Allergy Support (CoFAS) is managed by a group of volunteers, both medical and non-medical, who help others connect and learn about food allergies.
